About Kevin
Kevin, a lifelong South Carolinian, was born on August 23, 1966, in Anderson, SC. A proud alumnus of T.L. Hanna High School, he graduated in 1984 and went on to earn his degree from the University of South Carolina in 1988, becoming the first in his family to achieve a college education.
In the early stages of his career, Kevin joined Dunn & Bradstreet, one of America's oldest companies, as an Account Manager. There, he worked closely with several of South Carolina's leading firms, including Milliken, Michelin, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Scan Source. After his tenure at D&B, Kevin continued his journey in account management with Cigna Health Care, further serving these distinguished companies.
In 1998, Kevin embarked on a decade-long association with the Coca-Cola family of companies. As the Director of Customer Development for Bi-Lo Supermarkets, he played a pivotal role in managing Coca-Cola's product line during Bi-Lo's most significant growth period from 1998 to 2008. His responsibilities also extended to overseeing accounts for Ingle's and Lowe's Foods, particularly during their expansion into South Carolina.
A shift in his career path occurred in 2008 when Kevin decided to focus on serving individuals rather than corporations. This led him to establish his State Farm Insurance Agency in Greenville, SC. Along with his dedicated team, Kevin takes pride in assisting his policyholders in recovering from life's unforeseen events. Their hard work and commitment have been consistently recognized, earning them places in State Farm's Honor Club, Ambassador Club, and the prestigious Chairman's Circle.
Kevin's commitment extends beyond his professional life into philanthropic endeavors. He is one of the founders of the Palmetto Peloton Project/Challenge to Conquer Cancer (C3ride.org), an organization dedicated to fundraising for cancer patient advocacy and research at Prisma Health and the Cancer Association of Anderson. To date, the organization has raised over $3 million for this noble cause. Kevin's community service also includes roles such as the past chairman of the Westend Association in downtown Greenville, a member of the Greenville Senior High School-School Improvement Committee, a board member for South Carolina Youth in Government, and past chairman of the Upstate Young Republicans.
On a personal note, Kevin is happily married and a proud father to one daughter and two stepsons. The family joyfully welcomed their first grandchild in 2023. In 2017, Kevin experienced a life-altering event when a macular hole and several detached retinas left him legally blind. Despite this challenge, Kevin has adapted his hobbies and continues to actively serve his family, business, and community. His resilience in facing these daily challenges exemplifies his commitment to leading a fulfilling life.
